Above the title elaborated vegetal frame inhabitated by allegorical figures: A lion, Justice, Fame, Abundance, Mercury and the Dutch maid. In the center a view on the city of Aachen. The title reads: 'NIEUW-JAARS / COURANT, / Op-geofferd aan alle Heeren, Koop-Lieden, Burgers en / Inwoonders der STAD / AMSTERDAM: / Door haare Bereidwilligen Dienares, de Ombrengster der Couranten en / Dominees-Briefjens. Op de Eesten Dag Broadside sheet, woodcut and letterpress on paper; total: 507 x 364 mm; signs of foldings, small hole on the bottom right, some damages along the margins, otherwise in very good conditions.
